It was the day the innocent was executed for the guilty.<\/p>\n

The day God poured out wrath, and the sky itself went black.<\/p>\n

The day justice was satisfied\u2014not by words, not by works, but by wounds.<\/p>\n

For me.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t theology for debate. This is blood pouring down. This is a body broken, a veil torn, a cry echoing across eternity:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?\u201d<\/p>\n

He knew the answer.<\/p>\n

He said it anyway.<\/p>\n

For me.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t just nails. It wasn\u2019t just whips. It wasn\u2019t just a crown of thorns.<\/p>\n

It was my shame, my pride, my lies, my lust, my cowardice, my rebellion.<\/p>\n

My sin.<\/p>\n

All of it.<\/p>\n

Every dark corner of it.<\/p>\n

And He didn\u2019t flinch.<\/p>\n

He stood there in my place, took what was mine, and gave me what was His.<\/p>\n

He gave His back to the scourge, His face to the spit, His hands to the spikes.<\/p>\n

He gave His life, His breath, His blood.<\/p>\n

For me. For me.<\/p>\n

He gave Himself for me.<\/p>\n

Not when I cleaned myself up.<\/p>\n

Not when I said the right prayer.<\/p>\n

Not when I showed up to church or fixed my life or found my purpose.<\/p>\n

No.<\/p>\n

While I was still a sinner\u2026 Christ died for me.<\/p>\n

Not abstractly. Not hypothetically.<\/p>\n

Personally.<\/p>\n

He saw my name.<\/p>\n

He knew my face.<\/p>\n

He carried my weight.<\/p>\n

And when the sky grew black and the earth shook and the temple curtain ripped down the middle\u2026<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t run.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t rage.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t retaliate.<\/p>\n

He whispered to the Father, \u201cForgive him. Forgive her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Forgive me.<\/p>\n

And then\u2014He bowed His head and gave up His Spirit.<\/p>\n

Not because He was weak.<\/p>\n

But because the work was done.<\/p>\n

Because justice was satisfied.<\/p>\n

Because love had gone all the way.<\/p>\n

For me. For me.<\/p>\n

He gave Himself for me.<\/p>\n

Let the world chase its heroes.<\/p>\n

Let religion polish its masks.<\/p>\n

Let culture entertain itself to death.<\/p>\n

But I will kneel at the foot of the Cross and remember:<\/p>\n

This was my execution.<\/p>\n

This was my rescue.<\/p>\n

This was my ransom paid in full.<\/p>\n

And it was not cheap.<\/p>\n

So let the sky be dark. Let the mood be heavy. Let my soul be still.<\/p>\n

And let my only boast be this:<\/p>\n
